I stopped by the Best Buy AppleShop over the weekend to see the new iPad display (really cool!!!) & got a chance to chit chat with Bobby (our resident Apple guru & Apple employee) and noticed that all the Apple laptops & iMacs are on sale through mid-November – this was an unexpected bonus!! An Apple sale is a rare event indeed & I am probably going to take advantage of the sale and buy myself a new 13″ MacBook Pro for my Christmas present!! If you or someone you know is looking to buy a new Apple MacBook Pro or iMac now is the time to take advantage of this awesome sale at Best Buy – stop by the AppleShop and tell Bobby that I sent you!!!

…hey everyone – I stopped by the AppleShop @ Best Buy yesterday & got a chance to talk to Bobby (Mr. Apple himself!!) and he dropped some hints about some exciting events, workshops, etc… coming to the AppleShop this Fall. While he wouldn’t go into any great detail he did say that the seminars/workshops that he conducts are gonna be more frequent and a broader range of topics. Plus, there are gonna be some User Group centered events @ the Apple Shop. So as summer winds down (not gonna miss the heat!!!!) looks like things at the AppleShop are “heating up”!!! One more thing…I don’t know how many of you own iPads (or have friends/family/co-workers that own iPads) Bobby holds a weekly workshop @ the AppleShop on understanding all the cool/productive things you can do with your iPad – it’s every Tuesday night from 6pm-7:30pm – I’ve been to one of the iPad Workshops and I learned more in 1.5 hours than I had in the 3 months that I’ve owned my iPad!!! Take care & we will all see each other at the Sept. GMUG Meeting!!!!

Our local Mac Guru & Apple Rep Bobby Morrison will be demoing iPhoto ’11 & will also be talking about a cool “contest” coming up in August…I have copied the information below about Apple Answers Day – let’s all show up & make it a fun, GMUG get together…see you at the AppleShop!!!

Once again we are fortunate enough to have been offered the meeting facility @ Larkin’s On The River (http://www.larkinsontheriver.com/)  in downtown Greenville. This months meeting will be all about the announcements from the Apple World Wide Developers Conference in San Francisco this week. Our local Mac Guru & Apple employee Bobby Morrison will be talking about all the new stuff from Apple: iCloud, iOS 5 & Mac OS X Lion…plus “time willing” there might be a surprise or two!!! Let’s have a big turnout to show Larkin’s how much we appreciate them for offering their meeting facility for our meeting.
